Optical illusions are always fun to look at because they tend to mess with our brains just enough to make us not be able to distinguish between fiction and reality anymore. One such optical illusion was spotted by a redditor and posted online on the r/mildlyinteresting subreddit simply stating that the broken antenna on his car makes it look like his whole car is a half sunken boat.

Instead of having people mock this somewhat crazy statement though most people were in complete disbelief stating that there was no way that the picture didn’t have a half sunken boat in it. A lot of the redditors in the comments have said that they can kind of see the car itself and that it even resembles a sort of a minivan type of a vehicle.

Despite these claims no one has been able to tell exactly what type of a car it is since the OP would rather spout out random facts about the car rather than mention the brand of it. For example, the OP has mentioned that this amount of attention that they received for this picture is a breath of fresh air since for the past couple of days he’d been quite unlucky, having almost completely ripped off his antenna by clipping it on the garage doors only three days after purchasing it brand new.

Despite just how baffled it left all of the redditors alike, once the original post made its way to the media it actually did get tackled by some experts that stated that despite the fact that the picture looks a lot like a boat it is without a doubt a submerged car. For example the most obvious one is the two screws at the front of the “ship”, which would make no sense on a real boat.

So, what do you think about it? Did it fool you or are you still convinced that this is a boat? Check out the original post yourself and be amazed at this completely coincidental optical illusion.
